Abstract

ANTONIAZZI, Marina Peripolli; SIQUEIRA, Aline Cardoso  and  FARIAS, Camila Peixoto. Psychological aspects of a high-risk management in pregnant for the first time before and after the labor. Pensando fam. [online]. 2019, vol.23, n.2, pp. 191-207. ISSN 1679-494X.

This study investigated the psychological aspects of a gestation diagnosed at high risk for first pregnancy before and after birth. A case-study study was used. Four first pregnancy that responded to two pre-delivery interviews and one postpartum on aspects of gestation and postpartum participated in this study. The results and the discussion were analyzed through clinical report. Participants indicated that feelings such as fear and anxiety common in normal gestation intensify in a high-risk pregnancy. The process of hospitalization during gestation also proved to be a factor that may have potentiated stress for the participants. The experience of childbirth was experienced by participants with anxiety and fear. It was understood that the family support network and health professionals can positively help the way pregnant women face these issues by minimizing suffering.
