ALMEIDA, Thiago de. Loneliness, solitude and the COVID-19 pandemic. Pensando fam. [online]. 2020, vol.24, n.2, pp. 3-14. ISSN 1679-494X.

Today we live longer. However, we seem to live alone even in a sea of interpersonal relationships. Interpersonal relationships such as friendships, loves, co-workers and family members are of great importance in our life. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped personal relationships in an unprecedented way. Distance measures from physical contact isolated people, friends and affective sexual partners. However, when physical contact isolation was imposed as the sole rule for preventing and controlling a planetary pandemic, COVID-19, the coronavirus became the number one enemy of interpersonal relationships. This study aims to discuss the phenomenon of loneliness in the contemporary world affected by the pandemic consequences of the new coronavirus.
