Abstract

The present work is an attempt to show one of the most recent scenes of violence applied in different modalities: the cyberspace , which has taken place throughout the century´s tool, called Internet. This arises in the context of new information technologies, which are changing human relationships reducing the bidirectional communication times and costs. Although its multiple advantages, it is important to say that these new types of interaction are being used to intimidate and victimize the users, damaging specially the most vulnerable or underprivileged sectors. For that reason this article gives a critical view through the review of some effects of the couple violence-Internet, that derive as well in the analysis and reflection of how the violence has shown up in the Network, and of the future challenges we will have to face.
