Abstract

SALGADO LEVANO, Ana Cecilia. Happiness, resilience and optimism in students of national schools in the city of Lima. Liberabit [online]. 2009, vol.15, n.2, pp. 133-141. ISSN 1729-4827.

The general objective of the present study was to establish the relation that exists between the happiness, resilience and optimism in students. The sample was formed by 275 students: 134 men and 141 women of 15 to 18 years that attended the fifth year of high school in two mixed national schools of the city of Lima, based on a non probabilistic sample of intentional type. The used instruments were the Scale of Satisfaction with the life, the Scale of Resilience and the Scale of Direction towards the life - Reviewed. Among the main findings one was that exists a highly significant relation, in where it is possible to be appreciated that to greater resilience, greater optimism and greater happiness. The implicating of the results has been discussed.
