Abstract

GRIMALDO MUCHOTRIGO, Mirian Pilar. Transit police´s values in the city of Lima, Perú. Diversitas [online]. 2008, vol.4, n.2, pp. 291-304. ISSN 1794-9998.

This research has as objective to identify and compare the value hierarchy in polices. The sample was composed of 203 policemen among men and women, whose average age was 34 years old, from Lima Metropolitana. The instrument used was the Rokeach Value Scale. To analyze the information were used distribution tables, frequency and percents, arithmetic media, standard deviation and Mann Whitney U. It concludes that policemen group ranked the follow terminals values: Mature love, Religion, Personal harmony and Respect. About the instrumental values: Happiness and love. In comparing about value hierarchy it is seen that each group has independence in terminals and instrumental values.
