Abstract

AVILA, Lazslo Antonio. Group and body, in the perspective of the Cambridge model. Vínculo [online]. 2004, vol.1, n.1, pp. 23-29. ISSN 1806-2490.

In this paper we present the symptom’s construction model (the Cambridge model), adapted for the analysis of the psychosomatic symptoms, bringing a small retrospect of the psychoanalytical theories on Group and of the psychosomatic research. Then we present a conceptual proposition to describe the “group mind” phenomena that arise in therapeutic groups with psychosomatic patients.

Keywords : Body; Psychosomatics; Cambridge model; Group mind.
