Abstract

SVARTMAN, Betty. Groups of supervision: place of continence. The improving function of the supervisor. Vínculo [online]. 2004, vol.1, n.1, pp. 30-36. ISSN 1806-2490.

The main goal of this paper is to emphasize the essential tasks of the supervisor of professionals that work in public health institutions, with very poor people. The author refers as important: improve their comprehension, help them realize and dignify their competence and provide them with means to deal with limitation. An analogy is established between the complexity of the circumstances with witch this professionals deal every day and the complicated urbanization of the city of São Paulo: both situations demanding some kind of translation to become endurable, both experiences are a kind of shared course.
