Resumen

DURAND, Marina. The nature of law in Brazil. Vínculo [online]. 2005, vol.2, n.2, pp. 110-117. ISSN 1806-2490.

The nature of the law in Brazil is that the authority tends to confuse itself with the institution, in the sense that it does not represent the law, it is the law. It happens probably because the paternalist culture is rooted in our subjectivity. An indebt appropriation occurs of what is personal upon the institutional with important consequences over the social life like, for example, the corruption. There are also psychics consequences like confusion between what is public and what is private. The identification with aggressor is a psychic mechanism that tends to minimize the effects of this situation in the construction of our narcissism, and this situation causes the enlargement of what it intended to diminish.

Palabras clave : The identification with aggressor; Narcissism; Authority.
