Abstract

CARVALHO, João Paulo Evangelista  and  TERZIS, Antônios. Experiences with a group of children through music: a psychoanalytic study. Vínculo [online]. 2009, vol.6, n.1, pp. 1-12. ISSN 1806-2490.

Understanding of a little group of children who regularly attend a Community Center, with ages ranging from ten to eleven years, of both genders, homogenous, closed and with the same complaint of mismatch school, through the application of the group of psychodiagnosis technique (Kaës & Anzieu, 1989). We raised the hypothesis of the use of music instruments as an alternative playful facilitator of emotional expressions. The qualitative analysis of the content was conducted by two psychologists with knowledge in psychoanalysis-group based on the Mathieu (1967) technique of interpretation . We conclude that the management of music instruments facilitated the group psychodiagnosis technique, where the children could express and be self conscious about their feelings, were able to work on their inhibitions, increase their ability to socialize, strength their ego.
