The purpose of this article is discuss by a clinical case in which circumstances it would be more appropriate a referral to couple therapy when compared to individual or family therapy. We will focus on a couple’s clinic where the conjugal is determined by parental and the unconscious pacts partners. In the analytic setting with the couple these pacts are questioned allowing releasing the marriage of parental.
