Changes in the language expression and the relation to space, time, body and sexuality are some of the innumerous factors that have interfered in the individual way of living. The construction of new paradigms brought as a consequence the requirement of rearrangements and transformations in types of bonds among the individuals. The concept of family has undergone changes and adjustments concerning the values, roles and the hierarchical systems which are imposed by nowadays world. This paper discusses the impact of postmodern society that has invaded our offices, bringing consequences that interfere with the therapist-patient relationship and the analytic setting. New doubts arises from these experiences which need to be elaborated, moreover, they are leading us to new questions that demand time to be digested.
