MACEDO, Carina Rugai Moreira de. The container function the use of counter' transference as a tool of group psychotherapy in patients with severe mental disorders in the development of the psychism. Vínculo [online]. 2010, vol.7, n.2, pp. 16-23. ISSN 1806-2490.

The objective of this study is to identify, describe phenomena and group processes, observed during the sessions of group therapy with autistics and psychotic adult patients in a specialized institution in the treatment of these pathologies. The focus of the study is specifically directed to the importance and the consequences of the container function of the coordinators and the group itself, and the use of counter-transference as a tool for decoding the inherent emotions in the interactions and events that emerged during the sessions, assessing the technical feasibility of its use as promoters of interaction and psychic development of the group and its elements. Focusing on the psychogenesis of these clinical disorders, we will follow the opened door by Lo Kanner, passing through the authors who subsequently developed knowledge and reflections on mental disorders, which affect the psychological development from the beginning of a child's life, with psychoanalysis as a main theoretical guiding. Because we are dealing with a bonds pathology, we are looking for technical resources that offer greater diversity of situations, which promote abundant opportunities of iterations and bonding.

Palabras clave : psychoanalysis; autism; counter-transference; group therapy.
