Abstract

DINIS, César Vieira. Globalização e conflitos de identidade. Vínculo [online]. 2012, vol.9, n.2, pp. 1-9. ISSN 1806-2490.

The author discusses the relationship between countries of different economic conditions and the constitution and maintenance of the European Union and has, as a reference, the globalization phenomenon. He uses as an example the impacts in Health, Education and Social Security that is being perceived in Portugal, his native country. He enriches his discussions with the Foulkes concepts of foundation matrix and dynamic matrix, as well Zimerman’s transpersonal linking, to understand what founded and has kept the dream of the pioneers of European unity and what may lead to its destruction, the possibility of fragmentation and warlike conflicts. Concludes by exploring the idea that the more decreased is the foundational matrix in which each one recognises oneself, the more the sense of belonging and social aspects will become restricted, which will have significant impacts regarding humanitarian cases.

Keywords : Globalization; foundation Matrix and dynamic Matrix; transpersonal linkings.
