Abstract

ROJAS, María Cristina. Technologies and the human: images and bonds in virtuality. Vínculo [online]. 2014, vol.11, n.1, pp. 1-7. ISSN 1806-2490.

This article invites to thought about the role of media and particularly the digital world in the surge of new subjective and bonding configurations, a concept feasible when one thinks in terms of social production of subjectivity. It indicates that the literature on such theme of technology and the human is formulated in general in binary terms: technophobic and technophilic, and it aims to locate itself in a terrain neither apocalyptical nor conformative, even though never neutral. It considers the effects possible in the immersion of virtuality having in mind the possible working buildup of those virtual lives constituting experience. The Web constitutes a new universe of subjective production and bonding, images and links of the virtuality hardly come against previous conceptions. The conformed subjectivity in the image culture and in the group of conditions enabled by the neoliberal market seems to be build "in the surface", the image acquires a bigger value than the modern interiority. The autist would be the character, which proposes, and expresses the fears in time related to the technologies. It proposes, ultimately, some questions linked to the social networks and videogames.

Keywords : interculturalism; virtuality; experience.
