The present study aims to reflect on the dynamics involved in family psychoanalytic psychotherapy through the presentation and discussion of a clinical case attended a psychological university clinic at a public university. It was elected as its focus the transference-countertransference relationship established in the attendance described, due to the peculiarity of this case, to be precise, the change of therapists as an important factor of concussion of the transference relationship. It is understood that it is necessary, for a good development of the therapeutic process, from an understanding guided in Winnicott's theory, to pay attention to the role of the analyst in family therapy, especially regarding the handling of the transference-countertransference relationship, since this phenomenon gets more complex contours in this type of psychotherapy.
