Link strategic model of group psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Vínculo [online]. 2014, vol.11, n.1, pp. 33-45. ISSN 1806-2490.

In this article I present my proposal of a model for psychoanalytic group psychotherapy: the model of link strategic that seeks to overcome the theoretical and technical limitations of the two models that have previously been practiced in the Mexican Association of Analytic Group Psychotherapy: the model of group psychotherapy of Grimberg, Langer and Rodrigué that was the beginning and then was extended by the proposal of José Antonio Carrillo’s interdisciplinary model. The model comes from the Klein’s object relations theory and emphasizes the importance of internal objects and their relationships that are essential elements in the formation of character and psyche in general, they are stable structures that define the uniqueness of individuals and explain its psychopathology and characteristics and preferences of their interpersonal relationships. Links answer not only to the logic of the psyche, but the external reality and otherness, so have another dynamic and other influences. The other, the others, are confronting the harsh realization that they are different irreducible projections of our inner beings and objects that are passive but able to own varied responses to these projections as the link between people has characteristics of bilateralism and interactivity. The Link Strategic Model differs from other approaches in that relational concepts are focused on the importance of the individual, his instincts and his inner world, but always considering the interrelationship with your family environment, social or group surroundings, that is to say, with his network that c0-builds his psyche. One of the most important angles of the contemporary debate about psychoanalysis is to keep the perception of the strength of the drives as the sources of psychic drive or sustain emphasis on the determination of society and culture on individuals. Our approach does not consider these influences as dilemmatics, but as a permanent source of tension that affect all individuals. So this model does not provide priority to the influence of context on the individual as it considers social as co-constitutive of the human being and his psyche. This contrasts with some relational concepts where a psychology and psychopathology alternative to arrays of instinctual origin arises. On the technical approach, this model seeks to use the most of the unique dynamics that the group is generating as is their ability to communicate in three modes: discursive or preverbal, verbal and figurative or dramatic in addition to the multiplicity of different site that offer transfers to interpretation. The interpretation will follow the movements of the group transfer in this mode of various locations and will be interpreted from the transference method used for expression of psychodynamic situation at the moment, although it is noteworthy that in psychoanalytic groups the most common mode of expression transference is not on the center bur on the sides. It takes the expression of the unconscious in the impulses that promotes linkages with other and, therefore, the movement of transfers and identifications, as well as resistances and psychic conflict in both its discursive form and staged as preverbal, both in its form as extratransferecial transference and psycho-genetics. It seeks to interpret the psychic conflict around the mentioned triangle above, in spite of starting at its transference expression.
