Abstract

The psychologist must be aware of the complexity and contradictions of the society in which he/she lives, and his/her position relative to this reality. This study is a critical reflection on the complex issues involved in the role and function of the family actually, approaching the consequences of the disruption of the bonds between the members of the current Brazilian families. We discuss possible interventions by the teams of public facilities for Health and Social Welfare, discussed from the author's experience as supervisor of these institutions, over ten years of interventions. The method used was the 'operative groups' and Psychoanalysis of bond configurations and the result achieved was further integration and effectiveness in the professional performance of these teams.
