Psychoanalytic theory chooses the linking process as the structuring axis of the psyche, highlighting a special type of emotional relationship (transference) between a therapist and a patient, as the mainstay of the analytic process. This study aims to present an experience report that describes the therapeutic process of a young adult, focusing on the analysis of the transference link from the perspective of bonding configurations. The patient sought psychological care complaining of anxiety symptoms, with sudden manifestations of tachycardia and apnea, especially when subjected to situations of greater stress. Throughout the therapeutic process, the therapeutic link strengthened and confidence in the psychotherapist became progressively increased and toned, making it possible to sustain the gradual development of emotional conditions that opened up possibilities for the patient to recognize in the meaningful relationships that constituted their emotional connections, which led to changes in the linkings.
