The purpose of this research was to understand the role of guardianship counselors and the activity of the Guardianship Council in relation to their care practices. The guardian counselor is the professional responsible for attending children and adolescents at risk and violation of their rights. The objective of this research was to identify the difficulties and needs reported by guardianship counselors in relation to their daily practices. To understand if the absence of the professional of psychology constitutes a difficulty in the practices of the tutorial advisers and to investigate if there is importance for the action of a psychologist within the Guardianship Council. The analysis was done by oral method. Thus, it was possible to understand that there are obstacles that transpose the day to day of guardianship counselors, the higher difficulties encompass in the attendances and the fragility of positioning itself as main figure in the cases.
