This article results from a qualitative research with ten female adolescents, students from private schools, living in the capital, aged between 14 and 17 years; whose objective was to investigate how they perceived and defined gender - masculinities and femininities - and to understand how the experiences of these relationships resonate in the processes of subjectivation. Semi-structured individual interviews were conducted, on average with 1 hour of duration, being recorded and transcribed. From the analysis of the discourses and psychoanalytic referential, it was found that, for most of them,  perceiving themselves as a woman was to realize a state of alienation or subjective disappropriation, which was expressed in a body that could belong to other (to be violated) and in a force always subject to becoming weak (in the struggles against machismo). The perception of the genre appeared in two ways: a) as a burden, because they feared to suffer sexual violence; claimed they would need to fight more than boys to win a career; suffered from machismo and even were blamed for the violence they were victims. b) by transgression as a posture of coping.
