Abstract

SILVA, Jenifer Branco da  and  BRANDT, Juan A. Transference as resistance: discussion based on the supervision experience. Vínculo [online]. 2019, vol.16, n.2, pp. 185-195. ISSN 1806-2490.  http://dx.doi.org/10.32467/issn.19982-1492v16n2p185-195.

This article presents important concepts for psychoanalytic practice and discusses how transference and resistance are manifested in the clinical context. It aims to demonstrate how one supplants the other from the analysis of an extract of a clinical history marked by a transference of resistance and supervision of a professional, using psychoanalysis as a framework. The importance of supervision is emphasized, together with the personal analysis of the professional, to conduct the transference and achieve clinical efficiency. Such emphasis is due to difficulties that beginners in psychoanalysis manage the unconscious content that emerges from their patients, mainly related to sexuality. To contribute to the theme, case studies of transference neurosis are suggested.

Keywords : Transference; resistance; supervision.
