Abstract

MENEZES, Etiene Silveira de et al. Group activities from the perspective of Psychosocial Care nurses. Vínculo [online]. 2022, vol.19, n.1, pp. 86-97. ISSN 1806-2490.  http://dx.doi.org/issn.19982-1492v19n1a9.

The study aimed to understand group activities from the perspective of nurses from Psychosocial Care Centers. This is a qualitative descriptive research conducted with 15 nurses working in the services. The discursive interview was the instrument used. Thematic analysis from Minayo was carried out and the Pichon-Rivière theory on operative groups was used in dialogue with other investigations to guide the interpretation of the data. Among the aspects pointed out by nurses, there is little training to work in group coordination; the lack of institutional incentive for them to specialize; overcrowding of groups; and the limited availability of physical structure and material resources. It is understood that one of the main ways to face the challenges mentioned is the appropriation by professionals of a theoretical framework to work with groups, which can be guided by the practice of permanent education in health services.
