The synergy produced by the interaction between the development of new communication technologies and the literacy production addresses technical and pragmatic questions that are broadly focused within this study in the context of the construction processes of new gender and new cognitive perspectives. In this way, this work explores such diverse and important subjects establishing a theoretical mapping of the pivotal questions involved in the changes of the textual use and production, since the press technology until the discussion about the importance of cybertext as a new form of expression.© Ciências & Cognição 2004; Vol. 01: 02-12.
