Abstract

DUARTE, Eduardo. The cyborg advent. Ciênc. cogn. [online]. 2004, vol.1, pp. 22-28. ISSN 1806-5821.

When the new communication technologies is analyzed, with the purpose of creation of new cultural habits, like the Internet, the researchers usually observes the cyberculture arising through the expressive expansion of the imaginary, forming a new field of the symbolic researches. But the cyberspace is showing that much more human elements are being projected in the virtual atmospheres, promoting a cognition revolution in planetary scale, no measure for most of net users. Not only new imaginary identities are growing through the cyberculture, as well as a new perception of time and space blossoms in the cyberspace. We know that the time is a human convention; but the balance of the body in the physical space perception has constants defined for the science, which are deeply changed in the virtual space. It makes we notice that there are much more elements in game, in the process of the man's transition for the digital culture of the information, than we could imagine until nowadays. © Ciências & Cognição 2004; Vol. 01: 22-28.
