Abstract Customizarte is an interdisciplinary work carried through in Fashion Design, that intents to integrate humans dimensions, emphasizing the connections with the communities for the construction of the competence in ethical, social, professional and cultural areas, from the problematic of the practice in social actions to the learning process. It constitutes in the study of an inspiration subject, attached to image analyses, which subsidize the construction of the visual identity of the project and the development of the collection with fashion drawings, having as characteristic the customization. It involves social practice from workshops of customization in institutions, generally philanthropics. The results are presented in a fashion show and registered in analytical report. The Customizarte is not a competent and happy closed model of human being, but it searchs to integrate reason and emotion. About its efficacy, it still remains to study theoretician-methodological consequences that contribute for a continuous and positive reconstruction of the process. © Ciências & Cognição 2006; Vol. 08: 48-58.
