Abstract The messages shipping by the several medias to a number more and more of people is leading to the union of interdisciplinary efforts in the production of meanings under the pluralism principle. It argues, widely, that the information doesn't owe more to be submitted to the meaning abstraction neither reduced to the signals set which represents. To capture and to disseminate quickly the contents that daily flow in all kinds of information network, new interfaces are more and more necessary. This article argues the appearance of these new operational languages and the challenges for the use of cognitive models, it able to promote the collective intelligences development. It introduces theoretical-conceptual elements for the multimedia materials conception. © Ciências & Cognição 2007; Vol. 10: 54-64.
