Abstract The study of the human consciousness depends on the establishment of a minimum concept of what it is the consciousness and of the choice of right methods to study it. For this are presented some definitions on what it would be the phenomenon consciousness, together with three theories that use the embodiment notion. Such notion is explained by embodied cognitive science. The embodied cognition allows the distinction of the role of an essential entity for theoretical base of the embodied theories of consciousness.
