The cultural industry got the children in a way that, nowadays, it is growing the offering of cultural goods to that public and the worries about these products, as well. This article aims to analyze, from a research dare with 4 children's, the processes that happened during a children's film session - Shrek 1. We wanted to think about the senses produced from the plot, and also how the children perceive the undo of stereotyped concepts in the society today. Thus, we present a brief study about children's cultural productions, the film contextualization, the comments and observations from the kids, followed by analyzes. © Ciências & Cognição 2007; Vol. 12: ??-??.
