In this investigation we repositionate intervention ways about theoretical, methodological and practical assumptions used for the configuration of an educational intervention program at the school centers, classroom and community. Similarly, the theoretical pathways are defined that guide intervention through one perspective of knowledge, which demonstrated that there is a fully developed theory, based on a broad range of empirical evidence and that it is feasible to be applied to a program of oriented intervention. Thus, we take as basic constructions that directed the characteristics of what, why and how of guidance at the time that the amounts to the practice, through programs directed to schools and the classroom that they intend to prevent, develop, operate the diversity and help from the social relevance. © Ciências & Cognição 2007; Vol. 12: ??-??.
