Abstract The present research aims to describe the conditions and representation of oral health among 15 homeless people in Blumenau - Santa Catarina. The used methodology was a non-directive interview and oral examination.  Results: lost in average of 10 teeth; more than half of the group in the study with active caries; all of them had gum. alterations and almost half of them needed dental prothesis. Complaints: accidental or violent trauma, lack of monitored cleaning and prothesis. It is defined that oral healt. as hygiene, self care, lack of any illness an. esthetics, valorizing the caring o. treated people. Priority needs: job, feeding, housing and family. Mayor difficulties: lack of toothbrushes. They do not use dental floss. oral health is related to general health in the biologica. hygienic aspects. Conclusion: bad oral conditions with oral health presented a. an access for treatment, hygiene and esthetics.
