Abstract The didactic materials are fundamental tools for the teaching-learning process and the didactic game can be a feasible alternative to make easier such process. The project, the production, the application and the proposal evaluation of the game Chemical Ludo in the teaching of the organic compositions nomenclature are discussed in this article. We realized that the nomenclature rules' understanding was obtained more quickly than usual in a friendly environment. Therefore, this fact shows the educational function of the game. The playful and cognitive aspects of the game are important strategies for the teaching and the concepts learning since it instigated the motivation, the reasoning, the argument and the interaction among the students and their teacher.
