Abstract

CORREA, Roberta Claro Romão. A proposal for neuropsychological rehabilitation through the program of instrumental enrichment (FIE). Ciênc. cogn. [online]. 2009, vol.14, n.2, pp. 47-58. ISSN 1806-5821.

There is today in Brazil, a great incidence of people with cognitive disfunctions such as underdeveloped memory, attention and language, who need a rehabilitation program to minimize their deficits. The neuropsychological rehabilitation consists of interventions onto the patient and family, aiming at the improvement and overcoming difficulties, in the cognitive and behavioral plan, based on specific techniques, facilitating community acceptance. Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment Program (FIE) is an intervention system basically elaborated on instruments, to improve the functional side of the cognitive functions. Our goal is to propose FIE as a rehabilitation neuropsychological program. We believe in the relevance of this work as an option to neuropsychological rehabilitation, with the reorganization of the neuropsychological functions in the action mediated by the therapist, through FIE's Instruments

Keywords : neuropsychological rehabilitation; Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment Program (FIE); experience of mediated learning.
