Abstract

JACOBIK, Guilherme Santinho. Mathematical problems and mental models of resolution: reflexive possibilities and learning. Ciênc. cogn. [online]. 2010, vol.15, n.2, pp. 173-183. ISSN 1806-5821.

Abstract This essay seeks to promote a more detailed and deepened look on the utilization of mathematical problems as a daily didactic resource as opposed to the traditionally proposed exercises, mainly in the initial grades of Primary School. It supports the conception that the usage of problems is a result of an investigative look of the teacher and not only simple technique and, for that, it is necessary to elaborate it consciently in a way to propose a real intellectual challenge to students and teachers themselves. © Cien.
