Self-efficacy is a construct that addresses the perception of an individual about his ability to deal with challenges and get results. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the levels of academic self-efficacy at a university sited at Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The sample was formed with 137 graduate students of nursing and business courses, with ages between 17 and 41-years-old. The data information was analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, version 17.0. The results indicate that differences between initial and final undergraduate students (p>0,05) and also between nursing and business student were no statistical significant (p>0,05). © Cien.
