Abstract

DAMASIO, Felipe; ALLAIN, Olivier  and  EUZEBIO, Geison João. The use of the exhibition "Ciência Massa" as a non-formal activity for Natural Sciences undergraduate teacher training. Ciênc. cogn. [online]. 2012, vol.17, n.2, pp. 185-205. ISSN 1806-5821.

In this work we describe the project carried out for two years with a group of science teaching undergraduate students, at Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IF-SC), Campus Araranguá. The theme chosen as a base to the project was astronomy, since 2009 was the International Year of Astronomy. The project received funds from Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). All activities were planned to be developed in the form of extension activities in non-formal education (communities, museums, outdoors, sights), developed and performed by undergraduates for four semesters. The project initially relied on teaching activities for the science teaching students. The further step was the planning and implementation of extension activities. The project assessment used data obtained by carrying out the activities and also occurred through the analysis of a focus group conducted with the undergraduates students that took part of the project. © Cien.
