Abstract

This descriptive research determined the most frequent nursing diagnoses, as well as the social and clinical profile of 50 young people, whose health state was assessed and recorded in an instrument based on NANDA. A check-list of 35 diagnoses was elaborated, of which the most repeated ones were selected. The mean age was 17.6 years; most participants were men, who belonged to families of low social level; marihuana was the most consumed drug and the most common comorbidity was sociopathic behavior. The most frequent nursing diagnoses were: Ineffective role performance; Impaired social interaction; Anxiety; Diversional activity deficit; Deficient knowledge; Social isolation, Disturbed sleep pattern; Risk for violence directed at others. It is concluded that the drug most consumed by addicted adolescents is marihuana, and that the most frequent comorbidities are social pathologies and conduct disorders.
