The research objective is to discover the relation between illegal drug consumption in secondary education students and the family environment, friends and social vulnerability. The data were taken from the III National Study for the Prevention of Drug Consumption in secondary education students, developed at educative institutions in Lima Metropolitana, Peru, with information from 6233 students. The analysis evidences that having a family member with alcohol problems increases the risk of illegal drug consumption by 47%, and having a family member with drug problems increases the risk by 2.5 times. About drug consumptions and involvement of the peer group in criminal activities, these increase the risk for illegal drug consumption by up to 2.2 times in the first case and by up to 39% in the second case.
