MAZZA, Simone. Sport Psychology: The Gestalt approach in Football. IGT rede [online]. 2013, vol.10, n.19, pp. 328-334. ISSN 1807-2526.

The present work started in 1991 , is held at Nova Iguaçu Futebol Clube , founded in 01/04/1990 . Ie , initiated one year after its founding . This fact goes to show us the concern of these leaders with the training of the athlete. The working philosophy has always been to train not only the athlete , but also the ' Man ' . And that's where it shows the importance of the psychologist in this structure .Today , after all these years , I know that is one of the factors that makes it very different . For often , when psychologist comes along with technical teams or when a professional comes out , leave all of that team , as has occurred in several clubs and teams / selections .As the work developed , it became necessary to search this "new " means , at the time, was still shy of psychologists work in football . That's when through a specialization in Sport Psychology held at FMU- SP , opened up a range of possibilities for ways of working. The work was started with individual interviews , meetings with the coaching staff and board , watch the games , observation and alignment of training and finally the group meetings . Gradually , as was learning about and experimenting and exploring, by trial and error , was emerging approach to Gestalt .
