Abstract

BASSO, Fabrício Siqueira. State of exception under the agambenian review: a reading of the soffering and a possible intervention in the light of Gestalt-therapy.. IGT rede [online]. 2014, vol.11, n.20, pp. 48-63. ISSN 1807-2526.

The advent of the democratic state of law was intended to abolish the sovereign will of the forms of government existent before. However, what is seen is that the sovereign will remained in the state of law in a hidden way and available, whenever needed, to be used as a biopolitical technique on groups taken as dangerous before the system. It is before the denouncement of this failure that Agamben shows us, through the juridical artifice of the "state of exception", the way through which the sovereign remains in the constitution of modern states. So , therefore, making it necessary to have studies and research aimed to debunk the various metamorphoses of the sovereign will that still remains (and has always been) in the constitution of western law. Following this guidance, I seek in Gestalt-therapy (a psychotherapeutic approach) to develop a reading of suffering of those, who are victims of the sovereign totalitarianism, as well as to disclose its proposal of inclusive intervention.

Keywords : State of exception; Sovereign power; Gestalt-therapy; Suffering; Inclusive intervention.
