Abstract

This study aimed to demonstrate a relationship between the theory of the German philosopher Hans-Georg Gadamer and its relevance as a methodological approach to Gestalt Therapy. There was a study of Gestalt Therapy based on the design of its founder Fritz Perls, which were explained the main concepts and precepts from a critical analysis outlined in order to emphasize the structure of the theoretical and methodological scope. Draws a parallel between fundamental concepts of Gadamer, and how these can be of great benefit to the gestalt therapist, providing a better understanding of this experience in the psychotherapy process.
