Resumen

SOUZA, Israel Ferraz de. The Gestalt-therapy and the power relationships: a possible dialog. IGT rede [online]. 2014, vol.11, n.20, pp. 84-104. ISSN 1807-2526.

The notion of individual and society are correlated such that it becomes impossible to seek any approach without the consideration of both. Just as the theory of self in Gestalt-Therapy proposes a non-dichotomized analysis between the organism and its environment, the foucauldian proposal of analysis of social relations as power relationships enables the conception of how bodies are influenced by the power network and also influence it. The establishment of an intersection between the strategic biopolitical devices and the dynamic system self allows the problematization of the way through which the production of knowledge, the notion of the social other and of the individual arises in the power relationships. Neurosis appears as a form of political adjustment of both submission and resistance to the biopower; the gestalt-therapeutic proposal of intervention emerges as a possibility of giving shelter to the “counter-discourses” that occur in the system self and therefore in the power relationships.

Palabras clave : Gestalt-Therapy; self; power relationships; social other; neurosis.
