This article presents the author's experience in building groups with pregnant women at a private clinic in the city of Xerém , state of Rio de Janeiro . The author presents his motivation for the subject , reports some stages of construction of these groups , describes some general aspects of care, their interventions and more topics discussed at the meetings. The framework that supports their reflections is the Gestalt therapy , emphasizing the concepts of creative adjustment , contact and field strength . At the end has articles about the difficulties experienced psychologist as a beginner in the practice of construction of these groups and points out the importance of this work is an art to choosing ways to keep pregnant women from the complexity of health and other cultural aspects , family and economic involving the gestation process.
