This article tries to contribute to the field of psychology and related fields concerning the suicidal behavior. For such, with the assistance of data issued by the World Health Organization, this article with deals the most frequent risk factors and signs presented by people who have committed suicide or tried to  do. Based on these data, this paper shows how psychology professional can empower their practice with such information. Finally, there will be presented some application proposals of how the psychologist could be intervening in a situation of risk.
