From the perspective of Gestalt therapy, this article aims to explore how the family environment influences the development of zero children to three years, starting from the hypothesis that it is the family environment where there the first relationship and child interactions , which are very important for child development. To this end, understanding of essential concepts to approach as creative adjustment if it was necessary; healthy and unhealthy working and contact functions, and understanding man for Gestalt as a being of all. It was observed that there are few authors in Brazil and abroad that are dedicated to a psychotherapeutic work with children in the gestalt approach. We used the systematic review method, type of research that employs as a data source literature on a given subject. Also we have been used items found in the last ten years. After understanding the concepts, it could be concluded that families are not aware of their influence to the full development of the child and that the development does not occur only by automatism, but the emotional investment that the family has a child.
