This study aims at a broader processual approach regarding the development of self-support throughout psychotherapy in a supervised clinical internship. The client complained about dysfunctional behaviors originated from environmental support, especially from her twin sister. We used journals in order to offer new experiential data and enrich contact and awareness in situations within and outside the therapeutic setting. Journal entries included notes about therapy sessions as well as daily life. These notes were shared by trainee and client at each as part of therapy. We grounded our discussion in Dialogic Gestalt-therapy theory so to foster narratives as an important therapeutic resource. Resulting in a constructive therapeutic process, of contact and awareness for both, both in the clinic and in their environment. A constructive and rich therapeutic process was established between therapist and his client.
