This study has objective to investigate the meaning of labour in contemporary society. The senses of labour are rescued until the present time characterized by unemployment precariouness and desvalorization of work, in its role of personal fulfilment. A growing emptying of the social and psychological value of work is identified as well as a tendency of commercialization.There’s removied a positive value labour, this has usually being identified how simple form to access material things.This risks of the process of inhumanization of the worker, exposed to precarious work situations are questioned and the urgent need of researches in the area of worker’s health which may encourage public policies are pointed out.
