Abstract

COIMBRA, José César. Investigating how restrictions in choice can affect adoption demand. Estud. pesqui. psicol. [online]. 2005, vol.5, n.2, pp. 64-78. ISSN 1808-4281.

How could legal rules influence adoption demands? In Rio de Janeiro there is a large number of people who want to adopt a white and female child, less than two years old. We would like to verify the hypothesis that restrictions on the possibility of election of adoptions could create new kinds of demand, which could involve characteristics besides sex, color and age.

Keywords : Adoption; Juridical psychology; Family; Human reproductive technology.
