Abstract

In this paper we aim to present - from the history of the psi questions in France - elements for discussion about labor psychology. We understand that the tradition entitled “labor psychopathology” in its several possibilities, is one of the ways to develop the labor psychological analysis. The life and work of the french psychiatric Louis Le Guillant arose questions - from the decade of 1940 until the decade of 1960 - that are still absolutely relevant nowadays in psychology and labor psychopathology. Initially, we will present his goal as a psychiatrist, then we will detail his researchers and approaches in this field. Besides that, we will stress the propositions that Louis Le Guillant addressed from each of his approaches, concluding that his theory and practice may enlighten some recent daily problems.
