Abstract

This paper has as objective to discuss the contributions that the play can offer to the learning and the child development. First of all a discuss on the use of the definitions of the terms toy, play and game is made. The play is seen in literature as a resource that can stimulate the child development and provide easy ways for the school learning. In conclude, to use the play as a resource for the learning is to take advantage of an own motivation of the children and to become the learning of school contents more attractive, as well. However, the school finds difficulties that hinder the use it resource of the play as an easy way for the learning.
