This essay presents and discusses the main points in an intervention of an institutionalized character, from experiences developed by its authors in jobs done with religious congregations, which have chosen Institutional Analysis as an alternative strategy in the search of creating what they identify as the Religious Life’s Re-foundation. Recurring to the practical and theoretical repertoire of Social analysis proposed by René Lourau and Georges Lapassade, and from the Social psychoanalysis introduced by Gérard Mendel. The many stages of the work were brought up and the possibilities of group and collective action were discussed seeking the establishment of self-analysis and self-management processes
